About Murchison
The Murchison is the thinking prospector's region. Less crowded than Kalgoorlie but equally productive, this vast area stretching from Cue to Meekatharra has been producing gold since the 1890s — yet huge areas remain virtually unexplored. The geology is complex and varied, with multiple greenstone belts hosting different styles of gold mineralisation. For prospectors willing to do their research and put in the fieldwork, the Murchison offers the best chance of genuine new discoveries.
